Tasting notes

👃🏼Geruch: Alkohol super gut eingebunden, Kochbananen, tropische Früchte, Tutti Frutti, Mango, Physalis, Sternenfrucht, Vollmilchschokolade, etwas erdiges, Rosinen

- This was the first distillery built in Scotland in the 20th century.

- The distillery was taken over in 1975, first by Whitbread & Co and then by Allied Distillers

- With the takeover, this distillery also became the property of Pernod Ricard in 2005, which sold it to Elixir Distillers in 2022

- Water comes from the Achvochkie spring

Tasting notes

👃🏼Scent: Alcohol super well integrated, plantains, tropical fruits, tutti frutti, mango, physalis, star fruit, milk chocolate, something earthy, raisins.

👄Taste: alcohol fantastically integrated, first something mineral before the fruits come, bananas, golden kiwi, salted caramel, rock candy sugar, slightly floral out the back (still within bounds), milky coffee

🥅Finish: medium, could be longer, more fruit and chocolate again

💧 adding Water: becomes more floral and sweet

Conclusion

This one has cost around 60-70 €, I find the money for value is fine.  This time it's  a rum finish, which I like.

Meanwhile, the bottling is sold out, but if you are curious, and like to browse through the new bottlings :) check out the following link:
